Great size for small meal items.
I've cooked a meat patty in the top steamer, while cooking rice in the bottom pot at the same time!
For stand alone items, the steamer does it's job well and the bottom pot works great at braising and saute.
All Clad works well on lower heat, so food is less likely to scorch.
