I have two of these lovely gravy boats because I have large sit-down informal dinners. I like the 1-piece design because it makes the gravy boat so easy to handle in the kitchen and to pass from person-to-person at the dinner table. I have used the gravy boats for chicken and turkey gravies and for au-jus gravies. I recommend that you fill them first with very hot water and let them stand before you use them for serving gravy.
