Rather, it does exactly what it's supposed to do, and it does so at a great rediculously low price. I bought this pot because I wanted a stainless steel pot in which I could make my Mexican rice and slow-cooking dishes. And it does all of those things well. The sides are slightly on the thin side, but the bottom is a bit thicker and heats quickly. If you're looking for a very inexpensive stainless steel pot for your basic cooking needs, you can't go wrong here. I can't predict how long it will last, but at a little over $11, I'll be satisfied if I get a good 3 years out of it.
