I used this pan for a year, and finally got tired of burned spots on everything I cooked in it on my gas range. I have that problem in no other pan, so I have to conclude that this pan is just does not have the proper construction on the bottom to spread the heat around.

I don't know about the brand, either. My pan looks like the picture here, but the brand name listed on the pan is Vitrinor, a Spanish company. I uploaded a picture of the bottom of my pan so you could see the details.

The non-stick coating is OK, and handle seems fine, so this isn't complete junk. It might be OK on an electric range where the element is large. But I gave up on it and replaced it with Calphalon C1210P Commercial Nonstick 10-Inch International Griddle/Crepe Pan, which is far superior. That one has a better non-stick coating and a double-clad bottom to spread the heat around.

They're about the same price, so as a user of both, my strong recommendation is not to buy this one.
