(More customer reviews)I am a beast about collecting pie crust shields.Always looking for that perfect one, the one that I can use on every pie.Of course, I haven't found one.So the next best thing are these shields that come in lengths, unattached, that you put together as needed to cover the size of the pie.
I already own some ROWOCO shields that I am satisfied with--sturdy, wide enough to cover the edges, and attach with ease.I couldn't find another set online at Amazon so I decided to try these Fox Run ones.After all, how different could they be?Um.....WAY.These are flimsy and not much more sturdy than tin foil shaped into a pie shield.When I tried to apply them to the pie before placing them in the oven, they wouldn't adhere properly and wouldn't attach well to each other. They basically fell apart as I was using them. And the width is ridiculously thin. I ended up throwing them in the garbage--well, the recycle bin.
