Pros
* Company Reliability - KitchenAid has a long history of creating first rate cookware.If you look at other KitchenAid Gourmet Essential cookware sets here on Amazon you find lots of top ratings.
* Weight - Provides stability and longevity to the product.
* Materials - Stainless steel provides for even heat distribution and adds to the life span of the product.
* Lids - Fit tightly and their weight helps keep moisture in.
* Handles - Strong, heatproof, and will last longer than the pots.
* Esthetics - Attractive cookware.
* Price - Reasonable for the quality and quantity of cookware in this set.

Cons
* Non-stick Surface - Sure it is easier to clean and you can cook with less oil but it is also the Achille's Heel of these pans.That finish is going to go long before the stainless steel shows any age.Reviews of other KitchenAid Gourmet Essential non-stick cookware sets show damage to the cooking surface (when the rules have been followed) in two years.

You might be better off buying this cookware in the non-stick version and buying cheaper non-stick cookware knowing it will have to be replaced within two years.
