(More customer reviews)I have always wanted to try this cookware but truthfully have been too cheap! I finally got this particular pan and am in love with it! I will be expanding my collection soon I hope. For the first 2 weeks this pan was literally always on the stove. You can cook anything in it and clean up is awesome. The press helps cook meats faster than I've ever seen! Bacon goes from the fridge to crisp in literally 2 minutes! It makes awesome scambled eggs too. I cannot say enough good things about it. You have to try it to believe it!

The only problem is that the glass covers sometimes have water pooled under the handle and I need to unscrew it a little to release the fluid. other wise quite happy with the quality.

(More customer reviews)These are great pans, and I love them.They are very hefty, and heat evenly.The handles stay cool.I love that they gave me a lid for the saute pan and the dutch oven, not one that fit both pans, because I often cook with both for the same meal.I love that the small sauce pan is 1.5 qts, a much more useful pan than the usual 1 qt that comes in sets.I wish there were more pans available with the blue handle, because I absolutely HATE orange, her usual color for the handles.I could not have it in my kitchen.I also wish there was a griddle pan offered, and a larger saute pan, at least 5 qt.I have them in other brands that I don't like as well.

* Weight - Provides stability and longevity to the product.
* Materials - Stainless steel provides for even heat distribution and adds to the life span of the product.
* Lids - Fit tightly and their weight helps keep moisture in.
* Handles - Strong, heatproof, and will last longer than the pots.
* Esthetics - Attractive cookware.
* Price - Reasonable for the quality and quantity of cookware in this set.

Cons
* Non-stick Surface - Sure it is easier to clean and you can cook with less oil but it is also the Achille's Heel of these pans.That finish is going to go long before the stainless steel shows any age.Reviews of other KitchenAid Gourmet Essential non-stick cookware sets show damage to the cooking surface (when the rules have been followed) in two years.

You might be better off buying this cookware in the non-stick version and buying cheaper non-stick cookware knowing it will have to be replaced within two years.

(More customer reviews)I had received this set for my Birthday from a friend.When we unpacked the set we noticed the 8 Quart pot was scratched on the interior.This made the non-stick aspect of the pot worthless.I gave the pots back to my friend and he returned them to Amazon and had a new set sent out.When we received the new set the 8 quart pot again had scratches inside the pot.I thought I would contact Calphalon to inquire about the damage and see what they had to say.I called the Calphalon customer service number but was on hold for so long I gave up.In retrospect I would spend the extra money and stay away from the non-stick surfaces with teflon coating which are prone to scratch easily.If you get the Calphalon One Infused-Anodized pans which you will never have to replace let alone deal with the lack of customer service.Remember the old saying "you get what you pay for."I don't think these non-stick pans will look very good after a years worth of use.If you do choose to buy these pans examine them when you open the box for damage.

(More customer reviews)I loved this set whenever I received it as a gift a few years ago.However, after normal wear, the inside has started to flake off and the "even" heat is not keeping items from sticking.I love Circulon items, and have had many pieces over the years.This is a fairly heavy weight set and was easy to use/wash.However, I am slightly disappointed in the performance of this set.It certainly lasts no where near the time frame of the warranty!I love the steel outside and it is easy to keep clean (I don't put them in the dishwasher).I guess for the price, you can't expect them to last 10 years, but I would have hoped for atleast 5 years of normal everyday use, which I didn't get.

I did alot of research and looking at reviews on many many websites. I was a little apprehensive about purchasing since my new home has a glass cooktop stove and many reviewers expressed concern about its use with a glass cooktop. Well i decided to give it a try and they are great. They clean up easily and cook well and evenly. When storing I place a paper towel in between all the pots so that they won't scratch each other. I even use them with high temperature and no problems with the pots or my cooktop. I cook at least twice a day so the pots get quite a lot of use and they still look brand new after four months of heavy use and constant washing. Great buy!!!!

I previously had a stainless w/ copper bottom set from a major department store.Food would constantly get stuck/cooked on and they were so hard to keep looking nice and clean.The non stick on this set is incredible and I love that i never have to cook on high heat.So far, I have been able to do all my cooking on medium heat or lower and it does a fabulous job.We use gas on our cooktop and I always had to do high heat w/ my old set.I also love this set because all the pieces are super light weight and the sizes are perfect.The silicon grip handles are super - they never get too hot and i love the glass lids so I can see what's going on inside without having to take the lid off.This is a fabulous set, I highly recommend it!

It looks nice hanging on my pot rack in my kitchen even after all of the use it gets from me and my family. The pots cook evenly and the food does not stick making clean up spectacularly fast and easy. I was lucky enough to receive and add to my collection this past Christmas the larger, deep oval skillet for large family dinners. I highly recommend this set for anyone from beginning cooks to very experienced ones.

(More customer reviews)I am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone.

Some things to know:

1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.

2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached - everything sticks well there).

3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.

4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.

5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.

6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.
