(More customer reviews)...Palermo is a pretty pattern, but there are some definite problems with these dishes. One problem that I could overlook is that the red flowers pictured on the box are not the same shade of red on the dishes themselves. The color on my dishes are more of a burgundy/pink color. The other major problems that I cannot overlook are that the dishes are made of a material that chips very, very easily, and these dishes are NOT microwave safe; they will heat up to about the surface temperature of the sun when placed in the microwave. When I bought them, my husband and I were pleased with the pattern, even with the color discrepancy, but I am NOT pleased with the quality at all. Corelle would be a better choice, or even the Hometrends brand one may find in Walmart. Anything but these. Sorry. I thought that by just carrying the name Pfaltzgraff, the Palermo dishes would be of good quality. Pass on Pfaltzgraff Palermo everyday dishes and look for something else.
