(More customer reviews)This is a really cool concept, poorly executed.The clear sleeve slides up and down on an aluminum cylinder.The top of the cylinder is a rubber gasket that seals the sleeve, thus preventing leakage between the sleeve and the cylinder.All of that works fine.

The problem is that at the bottom of the aluminum cylinder is a plastic ring of a larger diameter than the cylinder.This ring stops the sleeve from sliding below the top of the cylinder, and also acts as a foot so you can stand the measuring cup.Unfortunately, the ring is made from a fairly hard plastic, which can become brittle and crack.But it doesn't break away cleanly - so you're left with a measuring cup that won't stand up straight.That might be fine if you're measuring things and dumping them straight into a bowl, but if you have to sit the thing down while it's full, forget it.

(More customer reviews)I bought these because Alton Brown uses them all of the time. The measuring cup is great for things like shortening, butter, peanut butter, etc. that is thick and hard to measure. The measuring spoons are a pain and regular old spoons work better.

(More customer reviews)I bought this set to help with portion control.Since they are so small I can leave them on my kitchen counter to use all day without taking up too much space.
The teaspoon rocks because it is small enough to fit into all of my spice jars!
I love the fact that the measuring cup has a 1/8 cup setting.
The sliders are a bit tough to slide the first few times but then they loosen up.
Great little space saving set!
