(More customer reviews)I see others had shipping problems. My problem was not with the Amazon shipment. The cups were received fine. I got the cups out of the packaging and treated them with the utmost care. The first drink I put into it the interior wall on the bottom cracked. I contacted the manufacturer, no warranty. They responded not to let ice hit the bottom of the cup. These glasses are more museum piece than functional glassware.

This set of two 15-ounce glass mugs from Bodum brings a quiet sophistication to the breakfast table while offering prolonged insulation for hot and cold drinks alike. With their innovative double-walled design, the Bistro glassware line won a 2007 iF product design award. Artisans at Bodum craft the clear mugs by hand out of mouth-blown, heat-resistant borosilicate glass. As each mug is constructed individually, discrepancies in the thickness of glass, height, and weight may transpire from mug to mug. When holding iced tea, the mugs' double walls thwart the accumulation of condensation on the exterior, thus eliminating the need for coasters to protect surfaces from water damage. The exterior wall of each mug also stays cool to the touch while the interior steams with hot tea. While microwave- and dishwasher- safe, Bodum advises users load the mugs on the dishwasher's top shelf with extra wiggle room to avoid contact with other dishes. Take caution when filling with ice and extremely cold liquids as they may cause the mug interiors to crack. For ice, fill the mugs with the lukewarm-to-cool drink first, then insert ice so that the contents cool down gradually within the mugs. Metal spoons and utensils also may interact with the borosilicate glass and should not be used in the mugs. To retain a drink's heat for an even longer period of time, heat the mugs before adding the beverage. This set does not come with a manufacturer's warranty. Upon shipping, the mug set measures 5-2/5 by 3-9/10 by 5 inches and weighs 2 pounds.

(More customer reviews)This kettle is great for me.I use it to make tea for myself every day.I do not understand the review that says it gets too hot.I have never needed a pot holder to grab the handle.It easily handles tea for two, any more than that and you may want a bigger one.It heats fast on my "not so fast" electric stove and is easy to fill from the water dispenser on my refrigerator.I love this item and would highly recommend it!

(More customer reviews)This gift is such a treat. I have never purchased loose teas before and the blending guide inside really describes all the teas and different ways to blend them. My favorite is mint with black tea.
After I made my blend I stored it in the glass jars that come with the set. I had my friends over for high tea and we all got such pleasure out of tasting all the different teas and blends.
The glass pot is the perfect size. Its enough for 4- 5 people. Also the spout is really clever. You can enjoy the tea floating in the pot but it keeps the tea out of your drink.
This is a great gift too.

Bodum Assam 17-Ounce Tea Press Review

JUST THE RIGHT SIZE:
This is a perfect size as a personal teapot.It holds a full 16 oz., about 2 mugs worth.For my purposes, it is enough to drink in one sitting of reading a chapter in a book. Though it cools, it does not cool enough to be unpalatable for the 2 mug capacity.
PLASTIC INSERT COULD BE BETTER DESIGNED TO STAY PUT WHILE POURING:
The plastic insert, though it has these ear things to catch on the glass pot, when you are pouring the last bit of tea, is inclined to plop out.You need to hold the top on, while pouring that last bit. It is too bad this does not rotate in, so that it latches better.If you have a cat sitting on your lap while reading two hands are just not available.
IF YOU DON'T WANT TO STOP BREWING MAKE SURE PLUNGER IS ABOVE WATER LEVEL:
I found that if the plunger is below the water level, it quickly drops, stopping the brewing process, you need to be sure to leave it above the water level to avoid this.It is too bad it was not done a bit different to avoid this.I found I had to play with it a bit to get it where I wanted, prior to stopping the tea from steeping.Once it is done it does a great job of stopping the steeping.Just don't try to say that out loud.
DON'T KNOW HOW IT IS WITH LOOSE TEA:
I only used this with tea bags, as I had no loose tea on hand.I don't know how it will do.However the holes in the basket looked a bit large, so a very fine tea may get out; creating sludge.
OVERALL QUALITY:
Bodum does a nice job designing. I liked this tea pot without a protruding spout. It takes up less room, and is not so vulnerable in the dishwasher. I was concerned that it would weep down the side of the pot when I poured, but it did not.I am a tad bit dissappointed in the plastic insert in that it falls out easy, but for the price I think it is okay.

(More customer reviews)In my never-ending need to own fancy things, I foolishly bought these glasses when they were first released, for even more than they cost now (although they are still expensive).Folks, please stick with plastic insulated glasses! I know that plastic is tacky, but some things are just more trouble than they are worth.You WILL BREAK these glasses, no matter how hard you try not to, so maybe its a good deal that Amazon is presently offering a deal on them.

In short: these glasses are easier to break than my Riedel Bordeaux glasses (in other words, FRAGILE); the glasses allow water to seep into the small hole on the bottom during hand washing, which is ugly (the tiny hole on the bottom of the glass prevents the glass from cracking due to rapid temperature changes); and dropping ice into the glasses or using too hot or cold a beverage will crack them.The only upside is they look nice for awhile (until water seeps in, or a hair line crack appears).

My first set was crushed in shipment.Amazon had not wrapped it in bubble wrap or anything else, and the Bodum box is severely lacking in built-in protection.Amazon DID ship new ones right away.

Save yourself the trouble of worrying about and dealing with these glasses! Pretty enough for awhile, you will find yourself so worried about ruining these expensive glasses that you will sit them on your shelves and simply stare at them.I really am sorry to say this... I don't give many negative reviews, and I generally like Bodum products.

I loved her set so much I went back and bought one for me!The set includes a lovely borosilicate tea pot which makes it versatile.You can use it in your microwave, but you probably won't.The heating and pouring of the water are essential elements of the ritual of tea making.

When you pour the hot water over the hand-tied tea balls, you will witness an enchanting display.The tea balls slowly open into delightful flowers. The pot and infuser are perfectly clear to show off your tea and allow you to easily witness the unfolding of your tea flower.I don't bother with the infuser because the tea balls shed very little during the brewing.

Best of all, the tea is delicious.The green tea flavor is robust (through 3 potential infusions) and the jasmine is very subtle.I have since tried other brands but Primula has struck the perfect balance between flavor and beauty.I strongly recommend this set to anyone who loves tea and the soothing ritual of brewing tea.

By the way, you should try not to boil the water you use for infusing green teas.The flavor will be negatively affected by boiling hot water.Try to catch the water just before it boils.Small bubbles will start to rise. That's the perfect time to remove the water from the heat and brew your tea.
