(More customer reviews)Oknormally I would buy a bag of lettuce and after about a week it was bad because I couldn't eat it all in one week.I like one or two salads a week not salad everyday and a single person doesn't eat a whole bag unless they eat it daily.Well I bought a bag of lettuce that was almost one week old when this set arrived, I put it in there and I've almost finished the lettuce but as of today my lettuce is 3 weeks old and just as green and fresh looking as it was when I bought it from the store, and the taste is of course still great.

(More customer reviews)The pump does not seem designed to maintain an air-tight seal while pumping air out. There is an opening on which you place the pump's end, but it does not seal securely before or during the pumping process. That may explain why I could pump and pump until my forearm started to feel tired and yet still not detect a significant increase in difficulty, indicating that there was less air to be pumped out of the container.Then, again, maybe I am just not strong enough!Although there is no way for me to really know, I do not believe these containers are any more effective at removing air than the less costly ones that you "burp" the air out after sealing.At least those are easier to use!So, I am returning these and will instead buy some low-tech, burp-able containers.
