(More customer reviews)They lead you to believe that these tools are made in Germany, they are made in China. Very expensive for a Chinese product. I even went out to other websites and they said made in the USA. Are the Chinese they only ones who make anything. I have beem trying to not buy Chinese goods and this is clearly a difficult task especially when they lie. That is twice now where amazon has not told the truth about where something is made.

(More customer reviews)First off, the price of this set was very good when I purchased it.It was only about 20% higher than buying any single one of these pieces indivudually.

Second, I have not had any problems with the quality of my tongs or spatula.They hold up very well to everything I've put them through, even frying in hot grease on the stove.The only damage that my tongs have taken were when they were directly exposed to the fire of my gas stove after I had sat them down in an inappropriate place.This was my own fault, and they still only had minimal damage.

The spatula, while I greatly enjoy using it and find it easy to clean, seems like it could be better.I usually just clean it by hand, but sometimes I do toss it in the dishwasher, especially if I have finished cooking for the day and know I won't need it for a while.The rubber along the edges of the blade is shorn a bit.I'm not sure if these fragments have come off in the washing machine or other times, but I have noticed it when inspecting the blade.Additionally, the blade does not connect very well with the handle.They are easily separable.This hasn't beena problem with most things but stirring thicker batters has caused me to lose the head in the mix.Still, it is my favorite mixing and stirring spatula at the moment, and I would recommend this set, especially over purchasing the items individually.

(More customer reviews)I own a ton of spatulas and these are by far my favorite. they are thin & flexible, without being limp so that you can flip pancakes, omelettes, etc. easily or saute vegetables or meat effortlessly. They feel right in the hand and their long design allows you to maneuver right in there and get just the piece of food you need to flip. I love that it comes with a smaller one so that when I use my small 6-inch pan to cook for 1, it actually fits right in the pan. If they didn't cost so much, I'd stock up on them, since I'm always sad when they're in the dishwasher and I have to use an inferior one.

(More customer reviews)I like these tongs, and I would recommend them for use on "non slippery things." Since these don't have any grooves or "teeth" (rounded or not) they cannot hold onto things that are wet. IE, meats in marinade, chicken out of tray, flipping of firm fish. If they are remotely wet, you have to have a death grip on the meat, and then you could destroy it (trust me I have).

They are a good tong for flipping things on a baking pan, tossing pasta, or using as a mixing utensil if that happens to be the thing you grab without looking. They are very comfy in the hand as well. I would stick to the metal tongs for meat's though, or another silicone tong that has groves that can hold onto wet things better.
