(More customer reviews)I've been looking for a good cookware set for a long time.Tried the 'bargain' stuff, and they didn't last.Even bought the Wolfgang Puck cookware set ... and the rivets that hold the handles on corroded with use on th inside of the pan ... and the food kept sticking to the pans making them a chore to clean.

Well ... I broke down and bought the Berndes SignoCast 10-piece set ... and I'm in heaven.There really isn't anything NOT to like about this cookware.It's light, it's got the Dupont Autograph 2 non-stick teflon coating (with no handle rivets inside) ... and it even looks nice.It even cooks well at lower temperatures, which is better for taste and keeping in the nutrients.

Made in Germany ... this is very high quality cookware with a lifetime warranty. I will never buy the stuff made in China ... ever again.I like it even more than the few Calphalon pieces I own.I wish I would have known of this brand before ... as it seems this set is going to last me the rest of my life.

(More customer reviews)I have been using Berndes cookware since the day I bought my first piece at a sale my local hardware store was having. They had one of the traditions 9 1/2 fry pan with lid for practically nothing. I took it home and was blown away by the quality and durability of this little pan. I then looked on the web and discovered they were of reasonably high value. I ordered a few more pieces from Amazon and eventually threw out all of my Calphalon and other cookware. I have my family and friends in the process of converting to Berndes also (one skillet as a Christmas gift is all it takes).
You simply are not going to find better cookware in this price range.
Don't waste money on Calphalon, W.Puck, Pampered Chef, or any other cookware in the High-end consumer range. Just buy Berndes and be happy.

(More customer reviews)We actually purchased this set about 3 years ago.I came across it here on Amazon and though I would take a second a write a review.This cookware is amazing!Cooks evenly, cleans up instantly, and after almost 3 years of use, it is still like brand new.Very heavy duty, strong non-stick coating, and will not warp like the cheap stuff.

If you are considering a new cookware set, do not hesitate to purchase anything by Berndes, it is worth the money.

Follow Up:It's now 2010 and we are still using this cookware.The fry pan is gone but that is due to my teenagers cooking with it and using sharp utensils.Amazing after almost 10 years, this cookware is still holding up.

(More customer reviews)I received a Berndes stockpot for my wedding six years ago. It is my favorite pot I own. It cooks evenly, is easy to clean, has not warped or scratched, and is sturdy. So, when searching for a product to replace the pots and pans I used in college I wanted to get more Berndes. I received the Berndes SignoCast 16 Piece Cookware Set about a month ago. The product arrived quickly. I cannot say enough about this product so I will keep it simple. The pots and pans are everything I expected: sturdy, even cooking, easy to clean, and backed by a good warranty. I also like the utensils that came with the set. Like the pots and pans they are easy to clean, sturdy, and worth the money. If you want something that cooks well, is easy to clean, and will last a long time, this may be for you.

(More customer reviews)I like the brand and I like the set and I liked the price. The problem is that the set arrived scratched. I kept my second set because there were just a few scratches compare to the first set I received from Amazon. I give Amazon all the credit of the world of how fast they reacted when I called for a replacement.

The first set arrived all scratched inside of the fry pan and 7-quart covered stockpot. I called Amazon back and Amazon send a UPS call tag to pick them up right away and at the same time shipped out a new shipment the following day. When I got my second set 4 days later, only the Fry pan still had some minor scratches, however, we decided to keep because of the deal and who knows how the third set will be when it arrives. Me and my wife has came with the conclusion that the problem on the scratches is with their packaging. I believe either Amazon or Berndes will solve this problem with some bubble wraps filling the empty spots...

(More customer reviews)This cookware does work on induction cooktops.Before I bought it I went to the manufacturer's website a watched a video on this line and it indicated that even though it was cast aluminum there is a diffuser plate in the bottom that allows it to be used on induction cooktops as well as others.So I went ahead and bought it and they work beautifully on my induction stovetop.They have a nice weight on them, which I love, and the price is decent considering that for non-stick induction cookware they tend to be abhorently expensive.

(More customer reviews)When I bought my new induction cooktop, I knew that all my great Berndes SignoCast nonstick cookware would not work on it.Not to worry!The Berndes Coquere line is designed for use on induction.I ordered the 10-piece set. Now that I have been using it for about a month, I can say that I am very happy with its heft and its overall feel (the handles are different than the SignoCast)- it is quite comparable to the SignoCast in that regard. I am especially pleased with the way it (and the induction cooktop) cooks. The large 11" saute pan is a really convenient size and shape.The only problem is that the saucepans and the stock pot (dutch oven) in the set are on the small side.Be sure you are aware of their capacities when you order.I also got a veggie wok (directly from Berndes as it was not available on Amazon) and it was just that - a considerably smaller wok than the full size Swiss Diamond nonstick I had to abandon for the sake of induction.All in all the set was a great purchase for a terrific Amazon price. It is great to know that I didn't have to give up a product I had been so happy with for so many years.
