The Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse Mini Springform Pans are made of heavy-gauge steel that provides even and gentle heat distribution for consistent browning and baking. Kaiser Bakeware Noblesse springform pans feature a two-layer nonstick interior that eliminates the need for flouring, resulting in baked goods with a smooth crumb. The added benefit of a removable side wall allows for quick and easy release. All Noblesse bakeware is constructed with heavy-gauge steel that provides gentle and even heat distribution. The black exterior absorbs heat and provides better browning and shorter cooking times. All Kaiser baking pans are safe up to 450 degrees F in the oven. In fact I have even been served these exact Ramekins in a restaurant, that should speak to their quality. We also use them to serve sauces when we serve buffet style or for holding measured ingredients when cooking.
A very simple, elegant and relativly inexpensive kitchen accessory.

They have more flair than most other sets I looked at, mirroring the look of Juliska without the cost, and blended right in with my other dinnerware. In my opinion, one ramekin from this set is just the right size for serving one person, which is what I'd hoped for. And though I do use them to hold custards, puddings, creme brulees, and other desserts, they're also very useful for dips, salsas, and spreads (such as pesto).
**Just something to consider: Though the bolder color choices are appealing, you may prefer to go with ivory or gold. These neutrals go well with whatever you put in them, regardless of the food's color, and if you plan to use them for desserts, the color won't detract from or upstage them.**

(More customer reviews)I wanted some small ramekins and these stackable ones caught my attention because the larger ones I have don't stack well making them a total pain to store. These ramekins stack very straight and securely. If a larger stackable size becomes available I'll get those and donate the ones I have to Goodwill.

This smaller size is perfect for individual dips, sauces, au jus, nuts and to store small amounts of leftovers. I also prefer this smaller size for super rich desserts such as crème brûlée and my favorite recipe for a sinful, death-by-chocolate mousse. For some odd reason it isn't indicated in the description that these ramekins are oven and microwave safe. The package indicates they are and I've used them both in my oven and microwave with no problems.
