(More customer reviews)Ok.I own a lot of knives.Maybe I'm obsessive.In any case, this knife has just become my absolute favorite.It is well-balanced, unbelievably sharp, the perfect length for all of my veggie prep, and it looks good in my knife block.I LOVE that the size and type are stamped on the end cap, so that I can find it right away.I am going to get a bunch of these to give as gifts for Christmas.Yes, I love it that much.

I have taken a cooking class maybe half a year ago with the continuing education department of a local college. Part of the class price included a knife set. I didn't think of anything when I got it. Throughout the class I really learned the differences between cheap knifes and really good ones like this. There are more expensive knifes out there, but this knife set and Mundial generally, are a great deal for quality knifes that last. Anyways, my point is, that throughout the last half year I have not been using any of my old knifes. This knife set is all I'm using!!! It is great, safe, sharp. Great design, and user friendly with the weight relations between handle and blade. I love my knife set and would never in the world trade it is again. By the way, I can still not tell any wear and tear. Great product indeed!!!

(More customer reviews)I bought these little paring knives because we always seem to be short of these little work-horses. The funny little curved bladed one looked to be possibly not that useful, but turned out to be the best knife we have and use. The curved thin tip is just perfect for coring apples and such. I always buy brand-name (read "expensive") cutlery because cheap knives are hard to use, don't hold an edge, and can be down-right dangerous. All of my knives are made by Henckels and I wouldn't use any other. You definitely get what you pay for and since my kitchen tools are used a lot and are going to be around a long time, I only buy the best. And these little knives are the best.

Henckels Twin Four Star 3-Inch High Carbon Stainless Steel Paring Knife.This set is good quality.Stamped on the blades are the words "German Stainless Steel" and "Made in China".They have a good sharp edge and a textured, shaped plastic handle that provides a good grip. The package says that the knives are "stamped one-piece blade construction for strength and durability".It also says that the handles are "fully closed polypropylene", "breakproof, dishwasher safe, and hygienic." They are lightweight and have a nice finish on the blades.

(More customer reviews)I almost didn't buy this set because I figured I'd have no use for a gimmicky curved knife and a serrated blade, I only wanted the normal paring knife, but the set was only a little bit more expensive than an individual paring knife.As it turns out I use the curved knife more than any other knife I own, and the serrated one more than the normal paring knife- I was fully prepared to hide those two knives in the back of my drawer and never look at them again, but they are really great.I'm sure you can get better knives somewhere, but not at anything remotely close to this price.I am pretty picky about knives, and Forschner's are definitely the best I have used.I also strongly recommend the 8 inch chefs knife.I guess the best way to sum up my feelings about these (and the 8 inch chef's knife) is that I would have happily paid 4 or 5 times what they cost.

(More customer reviews)At first I was turned off by the bright (gaudy) colors.However, I have learned to appreciate that these knives are color-coded! They stand out in the knife drawer, and you can always find the one you are looking for.Consequently, the right knife is used to get the job done.
The knives are indestructable and durable.We have owned ours 4-5 years and they show no unusual wear. Put them into the dishwasher!We don't do that with another knife (regretted it when we have), but these can take it. The knives are well-designed for function, comfortable to handle, strong, & sharp.
We love them and gave sets to our adult kids who always are commenting on how useful they are. Friends that visit and use ours comment favorably on them.
These aren't showy knives for formal dining nor will they impress anyone with your classy style.However, they do impress everyone who uses them.And, the price is nice.

(More customer reviews)I have owned Global, Shun (ken onion series), Furi, Ran, Henckles, Wousthof, Chroma, Mac and most recently, got myself a Haiku.I cook professionally, spend my days in a professional kitchen, I have 14 sets of knives ranging from 3pcs to 8pcs sets.I love knives.

So, here is my review of these knives.Good utility knife set.Handles are big enough to fit in your hand, sharp enough to do "simple" cutting, blade is thick enough to stand abuse and they are very light.Rating, Price, quality and performance were all considered as a WHOLE.

Workmanship, I would say, it's excellent for a $4.00 knife set.I can't compare them to my other knives which cost 10x or 20x more than these.But, considering the price I paid for, they are great.I keep them by my side especially the serrated ones.

And I'm just sadden coz, people should know, there is no such thing as "stainless steal" or rust proof knife.They all stain.That's why never, ever put your knives in the dishwasher.Wash them by hand and dry them with a towel.Even with care, with age, you'll notice staining on your knives.Good luck.
