(More customer reviews)I purchased this set after my family moved to our new home (real reason- my wife threw out all the old pots and pans so I had to buy new ones!). I didn't want to splurge on the top of the line Calphalon One series because I didn't have any experience with Calphalon products. So I went with this mid-level reasonably priced set. I am so glad I did. This set is wonderful. The pans cook and heat even. Clean-up is a breeze. My wife loves them...NO SCRUBBING! Just place them in some hot soapy water and a regular dish towel and wipe. Everything just comes right off. The silicone handles stay cool and are removable for extra cleaning (if needed). We now own just about every pot and pan in this line and some from the other more pricey lines. Spend the extra 50 to 100 bucks on the Pro Series if you're going to purchase from Target. Better yet...go to the nearest Target and hold them in your hands, you will be able to tell the difference.
Just remember not to use metal utensils when cooking or serving or do what I did. Throw them all out and replace them with them with the Kitchen Essentials® from Calphalon® 8-pc. Utensil Set with Crock - Gray. You won't regret it. FYI...this set seems to be the same set better known as Calphalon Everyday Nonstick 10-Piece Set that's sold in other stores. The only differences are the lids, what's printed on the grips and what pans come in the set.
Makes a great wedding gift too.

(More customer reviews)I've had my All-Clad Master Chef cookware for over two years and I LOVE it... wouldn't use anything else (made my husband get rid of his pots and pans when we got married).The cookware's design makes for efficient and even heating... liquids come to a simmer or boil quickly without scalding (which is great when trying to heat cream to a simmer for creme brulee).The nonstick fry pan is sturdy, scratch resistant, and just perfect for lowfat frying or sauteing.
PLUS, the cookware looks great... I have them displayed on a hanging pot rack when not using them.
The only downside is that to keep that great polished look, I have to handwash and dry the pots (manufacturer's care suggestion) - the finish doesn't take kindly to dishwashers or waterspots.However, that's a minor inconvenience compared to how effective these pots and pans are for cooking.
I highly recommend the All-Clad Master Chef for anyone who has an interest in cooking.

My previous sets were non-stick, so it did take a little getting used to cooking with stainless steel (hot pan, cold oil; food won't stick). (More customer reviews)These have been a great set of pots and pans for the past year.I use them on a daily basis.The only wear that I have seen in on the bottom of the pots that touch the stove surface.The inside of this set is still in great shape and show no sign of use.The only thing that I would have liked to seen on this is a steam vent on the lids.But a great addition to any kitchen for the price.

The saucepans come in handy for making homemade marinara sauce; the stockpot works well for vegetable soup, beef stew, or boiling pasta; and the skillets offer gently curved sides for flipping food or sliding an omelet or grilled cheese sandwich easily from the pan to a plate. Constructed of extra-thick aluminum, these heavy pots and pans conduct heat quickly and uniformly (no hot spots to worry about) and won't warp. (More customer reviews)I have had this set now for 2 years. I cook with them every day and there are virtually no scratches. I have a gas stove and they cook evenly and are very durable. I love the size of these pans. They are a bit heavy but I work around that. I have only used plastic or wooden utensils and I do wash them by hand. They are very easy clean up, if you wash right after use it makes it that much easier but if you don't wash right after use, a little hot water and some soap will clean them right out.

I was very iffy and did a lot of research before I spent this kind of money on a set of pots and pans. I wanted to be sure I would get a set that lasted. I have to say that after 2 years they are still like new. I love to cook in them each time it's like having a new set everyday. I hardly use any oil just a little bit of spray and we are ready to go.I have a family of 5 and do a lot of cooking and not having to worry about things sticking or burning is a huge deal. I am always trying to cook and do other things at the same time and I can't stand over the stove.

I strongly suggest this set. I can't say enough about it. 2 years with no scratches, amazing....

(More customer reviews)I am an avid home chef & treasure high-quality cookware. These are great! They are thinner (but harder) than many brands, which I truly love. Lower heat settings can be used for comparable results in other cookware, which saves energy, money, & severity of burns if the user is accident prone.

Some things to know:

1. These pans are designed to be hung on a rack. Hanging does save your cookware from a lot of those small injuries caused to them by stacking.

2. The Quantanium non-stick finish is like Teflon on steroids! I use about 1/4 the oil/butter I normally used in the older versions of Teflon. As mentioned above, a lower heat setting is also necessary. These are very easy to clean (except the stainless steel "buttons" where the handles are attached - everything sticks well there).

3. Although they say "Metal Utensil Safe", DON'T! Save the metal utensils for your cast iron & stoneware.

4. Non-stick cooking spray tends to eat finish on pans. Preserve them by washing well with soap & water as soon as they are cool. TIP: NEVER, EVER put a sizzling hot pan in water or dump cool water into it! This causes warping that basically ruins the pan. Move the pan to an unused burner & let it cool naturally before washing.

5. With the small steamer insert, never fill the pan over one inch above the bottom of the insert. With the stockpot insert, 2 inches. This can be pushed to nearly 3, but the mess from overfilling is big.

6. Enjoy & care for these pans! You won't ever have to buy replacements for them as long as you don't abuse them.
