(More customer reviews)The stainless steel Earth Pans are wonderful.I have owned them for over five months and feel that they are the best pans I've ever owned. They cook things evenly and require less cooking time and less heat than previous pans I have owned.

When I make an omelet, even though the manufacturer advised not to use sprays because they may leave a residue, I use a very light coating of canola spray and wipe away excess before cooking.I have never seen or felt any residue.And the omelet is almost always perfect!

The cookware has a nice solid feel, and pan handles are cool to the touch.Lids handles are hot though!Stainless steel pans are dishwasher safe, although they clean so easily that I often prefer to hand wash them.I love the little 1 1/2 quart saucepan because it has steep sides and things don't boil over as easily.The finish has held up very well for me, but I treat it carefully. I can honestly say that there isn't a scratch on it and I use it every day.

This cookware is not for the person who uses lots of oil or who starts something cooking on high heat and doesn't keep an eye on it, because these pans cook more quicklythan other pans.

If you're looking for a healthy alternative to teflon, this is it!

The cookware holds heat better than any cookware we have used in the past thus cutting down on the electric power. Medium heat will find you using medium low heat once the food gets heated. The cookware cleans up very easy we would recommend this product to anyone . The only draw back we have encountered is the space to store since the exterior finish can crack if not handles properly.

(More customer reviews)I've owned a set of hard anodized Farberware for eight or ten years and stopped using nearly all my other pots and pans.The set was a present and as a reluctant cook, I wasn't too pleased. . . Until I tried using the new equipment.

Holy spaghetti, Batman, who knew you could boil water for pasta so easily?Or have sweet, even heating in the pans.I don't know why it works, but I don't really care because it does.

I'm extremely hard on the pots and pans too, scraping with metal, letting them 'age' a few days in the dishwasher before turning the water on, and so forth.Sure, there are some small scratches, but anything that can stand up to my abuse and perform so well is worth a shot.

CONTENTS:
* 1qt saucepan, with glass cover
* 2qt saucepan, with glass cover
* 8qt stockpot, with glass cover
* 3qt saute pan, with glass cover (cover also fits 10" skillet)
* 8" skillet
* 10" skillet

SURFACES:
* Exterior:Heavy gauge, anodized brushed metal aluminum and seem very durable, but I have not had this cookware long enough to attest to that.

* Interior:The cooking surface is coated with Dupont Autograph NonStick.The advertising sticker says it is "Metal Utensil Safe" but I have only used nylon utensils.The small concentric grooves in the bottom of each pot and pan is what I imagine to be Circulon's "Total Food Release System."

* Fried Egg Test: I heated a pan and broke an egg onto it without any oil or cooking spray, to test the effectiveness of the non-stick surface and the "Total Food Release System."I let the egg cook completely, sunny side up, then lifted it out.Although it did cling a little bit as I worked my spatula under it (my egg was a little pushed out of shape and scrunched up), the fully cooked egg did lift out without sticking to the surface.This was a test, but I believe a little oil would help tremendously in every day cooking.

* Cleaning: The pan from my Fried Egg Test cleaned up quickly and easily in a sink of hot soapy water and a soft dishcloth.No elbow grease needed.Although you do have to pay particular attention to cleaning in the direction of the grooves (ie: in a circular fashion) or you could leave particles.This set is not dishwasher safe!

COVERS (LIDS):
* These glass lids are very nice, and the handles are a work of art.They are advertised as shatter-resistant, but I would still not like to drop one on my tile floor!There are no steam vents in the covers.

HANDLES:
* The stainless steel handles have silicone grips and tips.They stay cool when in use, so you won't need a potholder to pick one up.Nestled in the tip of each handle is a pull-out metal ring, should you prefer to store your cookware in a hanging position.This ring stays hidden in the tip if you prefer to store them flat.Oven safe to 400F degrees.

MY BIGGEST GRIPE IS:
* The misaligned fit of the handles to the curvature of the pans/pots.

There is a small gap between the exterior surface and where the handle is fastened.This imprecise fit allows dishwater to flood into the handle during cleanup.The stainless steel handles are hollow (I assume to cut weight), so it takes ages for the inner section to dry completely.Even when left overnight to dry on my countertop, tilting the handle the next day resulted a small puddle of water. A silicone grommet between the two pieces (the same asthere is between the glass cover and its handle) would have completely eliminated this issue, but instead, it's just very disappointing; shoddy workmanship marring an otherwise great cookware set.See for yourself: I have uploaded a User Photo to show this flaw.

CONCLUSION:
Overall, this seems to be a very good cookware set for everyday use.The handle flaw, however, negates a perfect 5-star score.Also, I cannot attest to the longevity of this set because I have had it less than a week.I cook every day, so I intend to give it a lot of use!Finally, in case anyone needs to know, this cookware set is Made in China.

(More customer reviews)I have had this set for about a month and have had a chance to use them enough to have an opinion.They are well balanced and perform well, especially the sauce pans and stock pot.The 8 quart stock pot is large enough for a family of 4-6.Cuisinart advertises you can use metal utensils, but when you read their recommended use card, it says metal utensil will scratch the surface.That is a misleading marketing gimmick in my opinion.

My main complaint with the Cuisinart cookware is they heat up very quickly due to the thin 3 mm thickness.The fry pans are the weakest items of the set.After side-by-side comparisons against Emeril's All-Clad Hard Anodized, I much prefer the Emeril brand. The Emeril pans are 5 mm thick and seem to cook more evenly and are not near as temper-mental as the Cuisinarts.

For not much more money, I would look at the higher quality Emeril Hard Anodized set; and sorry Amazon, the best deals for Emerilware are using one of those 20% off coupons at Bed Bath and Beyond or Linens N Things.

(More customer reviews)I loved this set whenever I received it as a gift a few years ago.However, after normal wear, the inside has started to flake off and the "even" heat is not keeping items from sticking.I love Circulon items, and have had many pieces over the years.This is a fairly heavy weight set and was easy to use/wash.However, I am slightly disappointed in the performance of this set.It certainly lasts no where near the time frame of the warranty!I love the steel outside and it is easy to keep clean (I don't put them in the dishwasher).I guess for the price, you can't expect them to last 10 years, but I would have hoped for atleast 5 years of normal everyday use, which I didn't get.

(More customer reviews)I absolutely love Circulon "Infinite" cookware!It does everything that's promised, and goes into the dishwasher too!Believe me; this can be a very important feature if quick and easy cleanup is important you. Yet, that is not my only reason for giving this product a five star rating.I've owned many brands of cookware over the years, and for one reason or another, they have fallen short of my expectations.Yes, even my Calphalon cookware can't hold a candle to Circulon "Infinite."For instance, I've had a couple Calphalon frying pans for more than a year now.I tend not to use them because their non-stick properties are lacking--so much so that making eggs "over-easy" is almost impossible.I've tried several different things to correct this problem, but no matter what I've tried, food continues stick, which not only makes cooking more difficult, but it makes cleanup more difficult as well.Another problem that I have is that the bottoms of my Calphalon pans have a slight curve to them; as a result they don't sit firmly on my burners.On the other hand, however, each of my "Infinite" cookware pieces have a flat bottom, which allows them to sit firmly on my burners, and I never have a problem with food sticking to them.

(More customer reviews)I have had this set now for 2 years. I cook with them every day and there are virtually no scratches. I have a gas stove and they cook evenly and are very durable. I love the size of these pans. They are a bit heavy but I work around that. I have only used plastic or wooden utensils and I do wash them by hand. They are very easy clean up, if you wash right after use it makes it that much easier but if you don't wash right after use, a little hot water and some soap will clean them right out.

I was very iffy and did a lot of research before I spent this kind of money on a set of pots and pans. I wanted to be sure I would get a set that lasted. I have to say that after 2 years they are still like new. I love to cook in them each time it's like having a new set everyday. I hardly use any oil just a little bit of spray and we are ready to go.I have a family of 5 and do a lot of cooking and not having to worry about things sticking or burning is a huge deal. I am always trying to cook and do other things at the same time and I can't stand over the stove.

I strongly suggest this set. I can't say enough about it. 2 years with no scratches, amazing....

I previously had a stainless w/ copper bottom set from a major department store.Food would constantly get stuck/cooked on and they were so hard to keep looking nice and clean.The non stick on this set is incredible and I love that i never have to cook on high heat.So far, I have been able to do all my cooking on medium heat or lower and it does a fabulous job.We use gas on our cooktop and I always had to do high heat w/ my old set.I also love this set because all the pieces are super light weight and the sizes are perfect.The silicon grip handles are super - they never get too hot and i love the glass lids so I can see what's going on inside without having to take the lid off.This is a fabulous set, I highly recommend it!

I called the number that the warrenty gave and told them of the defective item. Their response was that because I bought the items through AMAZON that they would do nothing to help me. They make the product not AMAZON. So, as a result of them not standing by their product and their warranty I will not order another product that holds this name again. There are to many competitors that make fine cookware to spend my money on this company.

(More customer reviews)I bought the 10 piece Cuisinart set about a month ago and ever since I've been expecting it to fall to pieces, burst, turn to dust, explode, vanish in thin air, etc. etc... anything that would give me a reason for the low price of 140$ which is 400$ in stores. The truth is, it's too good to be true. But it is! This is the best cookware set I have ever seen by far. Nothing will ever be able to stick to these lovely pots and pans, no matter what you do, so be ready to say goodbye to all the non-stick sprays, oil, butter and soaking and scratching. They don't even need harsh soaps for a moderate cleaning up. It is true that they can burn food, but the instructions say that these are not meant to be used at high stove-top heats anyway, use a low to mid heat and everything will turn up wonderful. They are really good for slow cooking and can also go in the oven up to 500 degrees, which is required for some food I like to make. The glass lids are useful when making rice or seeing the color of vegetables but they can spill if nor handled properly due to the design, which could certainly improve since they are, unlike the pots, not very easy to clean. My handles have never got too hot unlike my previous Faberware set. I adore the small skillet which is just the right size for a 2 egg french omlete, in general, the sizes are logical and all come in handy. It does say they are metal utensil safe, which is not exactly true since it's OK with a fork or spoon, but any hand held electronic gadget can scratch the interior a little. Also, although the dark gray outer finish is beautiful, it seems that the colour will be wearing of in time.

To sum it up, if you're willing to give some extra attention to this good-looking set (drying after hand washing, preferably hanging and keeping the lids clean) this is a deal you must not miss. BTW, It arrived very quickly and was packed great by Amazon. You won't be able to use any piece in this set at high stove top heats, so get a cheap large skillet for that kind of job, give away your old set and buy this one like I did. I doubt anyone will ever regret it. I would give 4 1/2 stars if I could due to the not-so-good lid design facor. Still, I love my cookware set, will probably be using it for at least 10 years to come and recommend it fully to anybody.

EDIT AFTER 6 YEARS
I've just gave away this set after 6 years of daily use. So, they didn't last for 10 years as I was predicting in my initially overly psyched review, but I still think it was a great deal for the price. Now that I have more money to spend and need a more professional level cookware set, I've replaced them with stainless steel Fissler pots and pans, which in my opinion, are the best you can get for any price, anywhere.

(More customer reviews)This is a beautiful set of cookware and, I think, a great value...I paid $189.99 for 17 pieces, 15 of which are pots, pans & lids and 2 inserts..for pasta and for steaming.I like that there are 2 of the same size lid.You always get 1 lid that fits 2 items in the set and I would always use them at the same time and only be able to cover 1. No worries with this set--there is 1 lid for each.Also, I did a lot of price shopping before I picked this one and it's the only brand that calls it 17-piece and gives you all cookware.Every other set I saw that was over, say, 10 pieces-- the extra was knives or plastic utensils vs pots and pans.If it was 17 pieces, 7 to 9 of them were bowls, utensils, knives, etc. Rip offs for the prices they charged.And finally..the outside is nice and smooth, not ringed or otherwise textured...makes for nice cleanup and hopefully they'll stay nice looking longer than their predecessors.The ONLY thing I'm not thrilled with is that the lid handles do get warm...even hot.The pot and pan handles don't, but the lids definitely do.But for the price and quality? I have potholders.... Otherwise I would give it 5 stars. What the heck..5 it is!
