(More customer reviews)I've purchased all of the All-Clad bakeware assortment and I am quite sure that each piece will outlast me. They are a joy to use, though I miss blaming poor results on my bakeware instead of 'user error'.

First the pros: this isn't your lightweight variety stainless steel. Each piece is substantial and does an excellent job of heating evenly/quickly. The handles on the bakers are particularly handy (pun intended), and keep your hands out of pies/cakes,etc. Everything is securely riveted and will stand up to rigorous use.

The cons: Steep price tag, the handles riveted to the inside of the pan aren't smooth or flush with the interior. Perhaps I am being nitpicky here, but for the mint that these cost, I expected impeccable fit and finish. Despite this, I'd still buy these again, (in fact, I bought several of each variety for entertaining larger crowds).

If you're in the market for new or upgraded bakeware/ovenware, these are excellent from baking to presentation. If you consider the price too steep, just figure the cost of these over the lifetime that they will last you, (and you're children's children).

Great size for small meal items.
I've cooked a meat patty in the top steamer, while cooking rice in the bottom pot at the same time!
For stand alone items, the steamer does it's job well and the bottom pot works great at braising and saute.
All Clad works well on lower heat, so food is less likely to scorch.

(More customer reviews)You may be asking yourself "why do I need to spend this much on measuring cups?"And to that I don't have a good answer.But I got mine for Christmas and they're awesome.They're incredibly sturdy.I have a whole drawer full of cheap metal and plastic measuring cups that are either bent or broken.I don't think these will ever meet that fate.

Inside each measuring cup are measurement marks for the lesser measurements.For example, the 1 C measuring cup has a line where the 1/2 C mark is.

The only real disadvantage is that they don't stack too well.

(More customer reviews)My wife & I had ordered a shrimp bisque at a nearby restaurant.The bisque was outstanding and it was served in the all-clad stainless soup bowls.We both commented on how the bisque stayed nice and hot until the very last spoonful!
Later that week I searched Amazon and ,naturally, they had the lowest price.We now cook our soups in them -on the range or in the oven and bring them right to the table.We put them in the dishwasher and they sparkle like new.
In my opinion, there is nothing better to serve soup in.

I like to make a dish based on a tofu burger recipie with them. I start off on the stovetop then transfer them to the oven to finish cooking. They are great for that. Two personal sized dishes that come out well formed. Stainless is easy to maintain with a little care. If this is the size dish you are looking to cook, it is a great little baker.

Simply Calphalon Stainless Multipot Review

(More customer reviews)I bought this set to replace another pot of similar size. I figured that this would be a great deal - it's got inserts and it's from Calphalon at a great price too. The tempered glass cover fits well and is helpful because you can see inside without removing the cover although it spits when the pot is at a full and rapid boil. It's a stainless steel piece so it's not dark when you look inside like many other Calphalon pieces. The aluminum bottom is not the same as on their commercial or professional lines. It's a heavy-duty aluminum bottom attached to a stainless steel pot. Even though the pot along with the bottom is thicker and heavier than most other lines that do the same, it did not heat up like other Calphalon pieces that I own. Still, I cooked a stew at a slow simmer for six hours and it didn't burn at the bottom. A good thing.
This is the first time that I have inserts like these and I don't think much of the big insert. To cook pasta or food, you need to add an additional 2 quarts of water (the amount needed to touch the bottom of the insert) making it more time consuming to use. I will cook my pasta without the insert and may use the insert as a colander/drainer. The small insert is useful because you can steam items while boiling pasta or other items
All in all, a good pot not a great one at a great price.

(More customer reviews)I hesitated to buy this set because I couldn't believe the price -- $169.95 for the All-Clad stainless 6-qt stockpot, plus two All-Clad ramekins, a ladle and cookbook.I thought perhaps it was a thinner version (as is the case with the 12" covered non-stick fry pan I purchased from Williams-Sonoma recently for $99 -- but love nonetheless because it heats and cooks just as well as my thicker 10" fry pan but is lighter).But this is the real deal!I am so pleased with this purchase.I haven't used the stockpot yet but it is identical to the one in my local Williams-Sonoma store.I love the ramekins.When I get home from work, I have used them to heat up left-overs on my gas stove -- healthier than using the microwave -- and then I eat right from them.They heat the food beautifully and clean up easily, leaving fewer dishes to wash.They are heavy and thick and aesthetically pleasing to look at and hold.The box said that the stockpot was made in the USA (PA) but the stockpot lid, ramekins and ladle are made in China.I've read some reviews complaining about All-Clad items made in China, but I compared the stockpot lid to the lids I already have and noticed no difference in the quality.Same for the ladle (I already had two All-Clad ladles and now I have three sizes -- all of the same excellent quality).This ladle appears to be 4 oz, smaller than the 6-oz ladle that came with the 4-qt soup pot I have (which sells for $134.95).This Simply Soup set is quite a vlaue for the money.I've wanted the 6-qt stockpot but couldn't bring myself to spend the $230 (current price at Williams-Sonoma and elsewhere).For $60 less, I get the stockpot and lid, the ladle, the ramekins, and cookbook.I decided to write this review so others wouldn't wonder about the quality and hesitate to purchase it as I initially did. I purchased the set from Metrokitchen via amazon and it was delivered quickly and shipping was free.

(More customer reviews)I can find nothing to take to task on the All-Clad tools.I have nearly all the tools they make and I like them all.They are easy to clean, no nooks for stuff to get stuck.They fit well in the hand and have a substantial, but not heavy, feel to them.Their shape is very good for the task at hand.The sole negative is their price but when balanced against the good, including the fact that they should last longer than the cook, they are a bargain at the price.

I own quite a bit of All-Clad, and so far this Miu cookware compares very favorably - at less than half the price of All-Clad. If you're looking for a high quality set, but don't want to spend $1000 or more, this is a fabulous buy.
