(More customer reviews)i'm not quite sure how i feel about this purchase... they match my silverware BUT they are not what i expected a "steak knife" to be. the "serrated" edge, strangely, is only serrated on one side of the knife. i tried them out on a steak and they worked ok, but i don't know if i would purchase them again given the opportunity.

(More customer reviews)These are top of the line steak knives.They are really sharp no sharping when you get these.If you don't have a fillet knife, these guys can do the job.These cost me 150 here on amazon but if you are interested in these.Check out ebay first I could have picked them up brand new for $100 for a set of 4.But Amazon is the cheapest online retailer for these.

(More customer reviews)I purchased these knives after having purchased and returned mundial steak knives that had great blades, but the black plastic handles faded after only one hand washing. These knives have serrated blades and are fine for cutting steak on a plate, and I don't think I would want steak knives to be any sharper than what these are, because if so, they would damage my dinner plates. You aren't supposed to wash them in the dishwasher, but I have several times now and they came through as good as new.The rose wood box is nothing special, but it's okay.Overall, for the price, I'm quite happy with these knives.

They will rust if water stands on them, and the handles don't respond well to the dishwasher. The blades are thick and sturdy, unlike many steak knives in this price range. Treat them right and they will last! I'd buy them again.

They are absolutely HUGE, and not at all practical for the common household. The would not even fit in our drawer. They never made it out of the package. i sent them back and I was very disappointed. Dimensions of the knives should be included in the description - (Note for web content managers). These knives are nearly 2-2 1/2 inches wide.

I damaged the carving fork and phoned Chicago Cutlery to order a replacement. They said they don't manufacture it anymore. So I found this 25 piece set to replace my older set, for only $29. You can't get a better deal. The knives are sharp with an amazing selection for every use, the knife block keeps everything handy, and the additional utensils are worth another $10. Whatta deal!

However, the set of four knives that I received consisted of two knives with dark wood handles and two knives with much lighter-colored wood handles.They don't match! This may well be a problem only with the one set I received, I don't know. But it would probably upset most buyers.

After getting the first four, I have to say these are one of the best knives in the Global line! (The 3-1/2" paring is amazing as well)

The balance is perfect, and they cut steak like it has no resistance. Guests make comments about how well they work & the unique styling. When is the last time anyone made a comment about steak knives to you other than it's dull? Buy them, you will be trully impressed.
